During the most trying times, we must trust and find peace in the notion that everything is in divine order.
We can only see so much from where we are in our bodies, amid our unique lives, embedded in the continuum of space and time. The divine, on the other hand, is not bound by these confines, and its wisdom and workings frequently evade us as we attempt to make sense of what is going on in our lives. Therefore, things are not always as they appear, and even the best-laid intentions can be undone. Yet when we believe we have been directed by our intuition every step of the way, we may experience unexpected loss and sadness. At moments like these, we might find some comfort in trusting that no matter how horrible or inexplicable things appear from our perspective, they are in divine order.
Even as we take our places in this world, there is a part of us that is not limited by the things we must do here. Regardless of what is going on in our lives, this part of us stays filled with joy and thankfulness, connected to the unbroken source from when we originated. Our small self, on the other hand, is caught up in our false identity as a creature restricted in space and time and considers enjoyment to be the outcome of things going as planned. This portion of us is the most confused and upset when the logic of events does not make sense. And it is to this self that we must express unconditional love, forgiveness, and compassion. To accomplish this, we tap into our inner divinity, holding the place of soft authority while extending love and light to our ego in the same way that a mother does to a distressed child.
There are numerous techniques to connect with our inner divinity, including meditation, prayer, chanting, channeling, and mindful breathing. It is beneficial to build a regular practice that allows us access to this all-powerful, healing presence, as it might be difficult to contact if we are in a stressful situation if we have not already built a connection. The more linked we are with this part of ourselves, the more we share its boundless vision. We are secure, knowing that everything in our existence, no matter how it appears, is in a condition of divine and perfect order.
